UK records highest daily COVID-related death toll since March

Six people, including two heath workers, were tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the state’s tally to 341 on July 11.

Of the six, five were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex and one from West Kameng district, as per bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS) late night on July 11.

All five cases from Capital Complex were reported from Naharlagun. One positive case is a vegetable vendor detected from G-extension and another from B Sector. The remaining three cases, one from Police Colony and two are health workers at Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), the bulletin said.

“All are asymptomatic and being shifted to COVID Care Centre,” it said.

The positive case of West Kameng had returned from Uttarakhand and detected from quarantine facility, the bulletin added.

According to the bulletin, five COVID-19 patients were discharged as they have tested negative in two consecutive samples and advised for strict 14-days home quarantine and self monitoring.

West Siang Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi has issued an advisory for inter-district returnees for compulsory home quarantine to contain spread of COVID-19 in the district.

A total of 341 COVID-19 cases have been reported so far in Arunachal Pradesh. Out of these, active cases in the state stand at 214 while 125 were discharged and two deaths.
