Arunachal reports 29 fresh COVID-19 cases

Arunachal Pradesh on July 15 reported 29 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of detected cases in the state to 491.

Among the new cases, 18 were detected from facility quarantine, the daily bulletin from the state Health department said.

Twelve of the fresh cases were detected from Itanagar Capital Complex. Of these, only one case was reported from facility quarantine.

Namsai district reported 14 fresh cases on July 15 while Leparada reported two and Lower Siang reported a solitary case on July 15. All the positive patients from the three districts were from facility quarantine. They had travel history and were staying at respective quarantine centres, the bulletin informed.

Among the fresh cases detected on July 15, only one patient was symptomatic.

With the detection of the fresh cases, Arunachal Pradesh now has 335 active cases with Itanagar Capital Complex counting for 205 of them.

As many as 153 patients have been discharged from the hospitals and COVID Care Centres after they recovered from the disease. Seventy eight patients in Changlang district have recovered from the disease.

The state reported three deaths – two from West Kameng district and one from Itanagar Capital Complex.
