Arunachal Pradesh COVID-19 cases have risen to 1056 with detection of 65 new cases of infections. Of the 65 new cases, 30 were reported from Papum Pare, 23 from Itanagar Capital Complex, five from Tirap, three from Lohit, two from Roing, and one each from West Kameng and Namsai, as per bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS).

Thirty cases from Papum Pare are ITBP personnel detected in quarantine facility.

Among five cases from Tirap, two are policemen and one is a health worker, it said.

The two cases from Roing and one from Namsai had returned from Assam and detected in quarantine facilities, it added.

The three cases from Lohit are BRTF personnel who had returned from Uttar Pradesh and detected in quarantine facility while the West Kameng is a military personnel, the bulletin said.

All the cases from the Itanagar Capital Complex were reported from different areas of the region.

“Fifty nine are asymptomatic and six are symptomatic cases,” it said.

According to the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, 58 COVID-19 patients were discharged following their recovery from the virus.

Out of these discharged, 45 were from Itanagar Capital Complex, 10 from Changlang, two from Lower Subansiri and one from Namsai.

Arunachal Pradesh recorded 1056 COVID-19 cases so far. Out of these, active cases in the state stands at 661, discharged 392 and three death.
