Nagaland reported 23 fresh COVID-19 cases on July 4, taking the total number of cases in the state to 562.
The positive cases were detected within the last 24 hours on July 4.
Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom stated in a tweet that out of the fresh confirmed cases, 21 were detected from Peren and 2 in Kohima.
The number of active cases in the state now stands at 334.
All the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals, the minister informed.
The number of recovered patients in the state stands at 228. On July 3, as many as 31 patients recovered from the disease.
Nagaland Governor Goes On Self-Quarantine
Meanwhile, Nagaland Governor RN Ravi went into mandatory self-quarantine on July 3 after returning from New Delhi.
According to a tweet from Raj Bhawan on July 3, “Governor RN Ravi will be undergoing mandatory self-quarantine upon returning from official travel. However, the governor will continue discharging his responsibilities while in quarantine.”
