Nagaland COVID-19 positive cases tally rises to 845

Nagaland on July 13 reported 71 new COVID-19 positive cases, the highest number of cases reported in a single day in the state so far.

The total number of cases in the state climbed to 845 out of which 340 have recovered.

Nagaland Principal Secretary for Home, Abhijit Sinha, in his daily briefing on COVID-19 situation in the state informed that all the positive persons were receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres.

Further, active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection. Out of 71 cases, 60 were from Dimapur, 7 from Mon and 4 were from Kohima, he added.

Out of the 845 positive cases, the total active cases are 505, and 340 have recovered.

As per the severity of symptoms, 490 active cases are asymptomatic and 15 active cases are mild, he informed.
