Nagaland records 57 new COVID-19 positive cases

Nagaland on July 22 reported 57 new cases of COVID-19 positive cases. With this, the total COVID-19 positive cases in the state went up to 1087.

Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom informed that out of the 513 samples tested in the state, 23 new cases were reported from Dimapur, 18 from Kohima, 7 from Zunheboto, 5 from Peren and 2 each from Mon and Mokokchung.

The state’s current active cases stand at 602 while 485 patients have recovered, he informed.

Nagaland has also seen an upward trend in the number of detected cases in the last few days.

Neighbouring Manipur has declared a complete lockdown for at least 7 days starting from July 23 to contain the spread of the virus while Assam has banned inter-district travel within the state.
