Arunachal Pradesh reports 43 fresh COVID-19 cases

Novel Coronavirus cases among Central Para Military ForcesĀ (CPMF) deployed in Arunachal Pradesh continue to increase as 14 troopers tested positive on August 16.

According to a Directorate of Health Services bulletin, 43 fresh cases were detected in the state in the past 24 hours out of which CPMF accounts for 14 cases in West Kameng, Lower Dibang Valley, Tawang, East Siang, Leparada and Siang districts.

As many as 41 of the fresh cases were asymptomatic while two others were showing symptoms of COVID-19.

On August 16, 37 patients were released from the hospitals and COVID Care Centres after they recovered from the disease.

Highest 21 patients were discharged in Itanagar Capital Complex while seven were released in East Kameng district. Three patients each recovered from the disease in Upper Siang and Lower Siang districts while two recovered in Tirap and one in West Siang district.

With the detection of the fresh cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases reported in the state went up to 2701 of which 888 are active cases. As many as 1808 patients recovered from the disease in the state while five patients died of COVID-19 related complications.
