Ranjit Kumar Dass

Assam state BJP President Ranjit Kumar Dass exuded confidence that the party would achieve the target of “Mission 100” plus seats in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.

“I do not want to spell out how many seats we will win in 2021. But we are focussing to achieve our mission of BJP 100 plus,” Dass said during a press interaction at the district party office in Dhubri.

“In Assam, we have the strength of over 46 lakhs party workers as of date and if each and every party members will convince at least one individual voters at their localities then the total counts of the vote will automatically get doubled in party. So, we are quite confident about these 86 lakhs voters who will definitely vote in our favour in the upcoming assembly election of 2021,” Dass said.

On the proposed launch of a political party by the influential All Assam Students Union (AASU), Dass said: “India is a democratic country where every individual have right to form a political party and formation of new political front ahead of each and every election is nothing new.”

The BJP state chief accompanied by senior leader is on a trip across the state to strengthen the party membership before a poll which is slated to take next year.
