Indian Awaz Foundation provides relief aid to people in Goalpara district of Assam

Non-profit organization, Indian Awaz Foundation, donated flood relief aid to 100 families in 4 number Baladmari Char (Hatkhola) in Goalpara district of Assam recently.

The organization, through crowdfunding with the monikee ‘Aid for Assam’ has been taking steps in order to help the flood-affected people of Assam when the COVID-19 pandemic has brought the country to a halt.

Generous relief donations had been made in the Goalpara district, with 100 families receiving relief in the form of masks and dry ration at a time of financial crisis and dwindling morale.

Hatkhola has been severely affected by the flood, beckoning immense suffering and loss for the poor people of Baladmari Char, especially at the time of COVID-19 pandemic.

“Indian Awaz Foundation offered them a hand and an immense hope for a better tomorrow with its humanitarian agenda crafted to work in favor of the poor and the ones suffering,” a statement said.

As the third wave of flood has hit the state, the organization took humanitarian steps through ‘Aid for Assam’, providing people with necessities like ration as well as hygienic aids like masks to improve their living conditions and increase their odds in this fight with COVID-19.

“Indian Awaz Foundation would continue to strive for the people of the country with prospects like ‘Aid for Assam’ and a humanitarian and philanthropic mindset. We urge the people of the society to come together in the journey and help ease the suffering of the unprivileged and give them a hope for a better tomorrow,” the statement further added.
