Minor girl raped by fellow mates in Agartala

A group of teenagers in northern outskirt of Agartala has allegedly gang-raped a minor girl nearby her house in broad daylight on August 28, police said in Agartala on August 30.

Police arrested six of the accused on August 29 night based on the statement of the victim. A court has sent the accused to juvenile home.

According to report, the minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by seven teenagers on August 28 afternoon at Tebaria area under Airport police station. One of the accused was still absconding.

The victim family alleged that the accused boys of neghibourhood had called the victim for playing hide and seek and then they allegedly raped her during the playing. She had reportedly received multiple injuries in different parts of the body and told her pain to her mother and a specific case was registered.

“The accused boys admitted the crime but pleaded couldn’t realize the consequence,” police said.
