Sikkim reported 34 fresh cases of Novel Coronavirus on August 28, including a good number of the primary contacts of those, who were already suffering from the virus.
“Total 1154 persons have been cured and discharged, while 393 are active, out of 1576 admitted to hospitals so far,” said Sonam Bhutia, state information, education & communication officer, Health department.
One of the positive cases recorded on Friday was the primary contact of Health Minister MK Sharma, who was in hospital, undergoing treatment.
The vegetable market in Lal Bazar is also closed due to the virus, he added.
