Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on March 15 launched a mobile application for electricity bill payment in the state.

The ‘ArunachalPowerPay’ app on the iOS platform was inaugurated by the chief minister at Namsai in presence of deputy chief minister Chowna Mein and Namsai MLA Zingnu Namchoom.

Khandu paid his electricity bill through the mobile application to mark the occasion.

“The launch of the mobile app will facilitate online electricity bill payment and other consumer-oriented services under the Go Digital initiatives of the power department,” a statement from the chief minister’s office said.

Among others present were commissioner (power) Prashant Lokhande, chief engineer (power) Bar Takum, Namsai deputy commissioner RK Sharma and SP DW Thungon.
