Meghalaya on March 13 reported six new COVID-19 cases, taking the number of active cases in the state to 26.
Four new cases were detected in in Ri-Bhoi district while the other two were detected in East Khasi Hills district, informed director health services (MI) Aman War.
The official said that with 17 active COVID-19 cases and 122 deaths due to the viral disease, the East Khasi Hills district, including Meghalaya capital Shillong, remains the most-affected district.
Of the 3,83,450 persons tested for COVID-19 till March 13, 3,69,458 persons were tested negative for the virus, even as 15 persons were in institutional quarantine and 11 persons were in home isolation, the state, which had two containment zone.
Nearly 30,000 frontline workers get COVID-19 vaccine
On the other hand, 16,478 healthcare workers received the first dose of the Covishield vaccine and 9,764 healthcare workers received the second dose, while 29,761 frontline workers were inoculated with the first dose of the vaccine and 667 frontline workers with second dose as on Friday.
Moreover, 9,695 general public based on eligible age group have received their first dose of the COVID vaccine so far.
Meghalaya has registered 13,992 confirmed Novel Coronavirus cases, including 148 deaths and 13,818 recoveries so far.
