Meghalaya minister James Sangma

In a major relief to the citizens of Meghalaya, state power minister James Sangma on March 10 informed that NTPC has lifted load shedding regulations in the state.

In a tweet, the power minister said that the load shedding regulation decision was withdrawn by the company.

“After my official visit to New Delhi on March 3rd 2021 to meet with Union power minister, I’m delighted to inform that the NTPC Limited has withdrawn the load shedding regulation,” Sangma tweeted.

Later, Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma also took to Twitter to thank Union minister of state RK Singh for his intervention and state power minister James Sangma for diligently pursuing the matter.

Citizens in Meghalaya have been protesting the earlier regulation as load shedding in the state had disrupted normal life and businesses.
