Manipur CM N Biren Singh at the foundation stone ceremony for College of Nursing at Churachandpur

Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh on June 30 inaugurated various infrastructural projects and laid foundation stone for the construction of College of Nursing at Churachandpur district.

The chief minister inaugurated girls’ hostel of GNM Training School, multipurpose hall, mini secretariat and Sadbhavna Mandap, handed over vehicles to ADC, Churachandpur and also launched a mass plantation drive in the district.

Speaking at the Van Mahotsava celebration held at District Training Centre, CM N Biren Singh said that the government is for the people and will always work for the people’s welfare to bring development in all sectors. He maintained that the state government had come up with many infrastructure development projects in the district.

The chief minister informed that the Churachandpur Medical College will be able to start its first session from September this year with intake capacity of 100 seats.

He said that the state government had earlier dedicated a model school at Singhat with a cost of Rs 24 crore, distributed three ambulances to the Autonomous District Council of the district, set up a PSA Oxygen Plant among others.

Singh informed that he had visited the district with much dedication and interest to start the mass tree plantation programme in connection with Van Mahotsav with the coordination of certain civil society organisations.

He expressed happiness to learn that leaders of more than 200 villages had come out voluntarily in support of the mass tree plantation programme.
