Shyam Steel donates to Assam Chief Minister's Relief Fund

Supporting Assam’s ongoing battle against COVID-19, Shyam Steel, one of leading producers and manufacturers of TMT Bars, has contributed an amount of Rs 25 Lakhs to the Assam CM’s Relief Fund.

Lalit Beriwala, director at Shyam Steel handed over the contribution to the Assam government in the presence of chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently.

Earlier, Shyam Steel had also donated oxygen concentrators to the Assam government.

“We stand in solidarity with the Assam government in its battle against COVID-19. The Government of Assam is doing everything possible to combat the ongoing crisis. We hope that our contribution to the CM’s Relief Fund will strengthen the effort being put up to combat the virus and help save lives,” said Lalit Beriwala, director at Shyam Steel.

The company has always put forward and contributed towards various corporate social responsibilities for social development which have social, economic, and environmental impacts. With the aim of saving maximum number of lives, it will continue to support the government in its battle against the virus, a statement added.
