A mass vaccination drive against COVID-19 was organised at NTPC Bongaigaon for the benefit of the workers of the power station along with people from the vicinity.
The drive, conducted on June 24 and 25 was mainly aimed for the contract workers of the power station. The vaccination drive was a part of Union government’s initiative to vaccinate all and remain immune against the virus.
The vaccination camp was organised with the help of district administration, Kokrajhar and the medical team of NTPC Bongaigaon who worked steadfastly along with employees and associates of COVID Task Force of the company to fight against the pandemic.
A record number of 654 persons were vaccinated at NTPC Bongaigaon premises which was done with all COVID appropriate behaviour. All the vaccinated people were told to wear masks irrespective of the vaccine and follow all COVID protocols.
