YouTuber Bhukhan Pathak urges people to come forward and help the needy

As Assam continues to fight the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, several people are coming out to help the needy. The pandemic has come as a double-whammy for the people belonging to weaker sections of the society as they struggle to meet their basic needs because of several restrictions put in place by the authorities.

While many still struggle to come back to terms with the impact of the pandemic, several others lost their jobs and businesses. During this difficult hour, it has become important for us to be empathetic and contribute to the best of our ability to the people who needs a helping hand.

With a positive spirit, popular content creator and YouTuber Bhukhan Pathak came forward to help the needy daily-wage workers at his hometown in Barpeta, Assam. As the lockdown continues, it was seen that many street vendors, rickshaw pullers, hand-cart pullers and other working classes were not able to meet their daily needs as they get very limited working hours. Many of them are struggling to have a single meal for the day.

Coming forward to help those severely affected by the lockdown, Bhukhan Pathak, along with his friends, has been extending a helping hand by distributing food and other daily essentials abiding government protocols.

Last year too, during the first wave of COVID-19, Bhukhan Pathak contributed to the cause by lending his support to the economic weaker sections of the society.

Pathak, who runs three popular YouTube channels – Assamese Mixture, Bhukhan Pathak and BYP with a subscriber count of more than 8 lakh together, has been requesting his followers to come forward and help the needy.

“Everyone around us is our family…what I am today is just because of all of your love and support,” he said.

The popular YouTuber urged and appealed to the citizens who are privileged to come forward and make an effort to help the ones in need. “Each individual step counts,” he said.
