Four people killed and four others were injured in two separate road accidents in Assam’s Guwahati and Kamrup district on November 23 night.
A youth died on spot and another was injured after a speedy truck hit a scooty on National Highway 27 at Khanapara area in Guwahati city.
Following the incident, locals blocked the highway for a few hours and demanded the police to control the speed limit of the vehicles.
In a separate incident, three people killed and three others were injured after a head-on collision between a truck and an 8-seater vehicle at Boko Sakhati area in Assam’s Kamrup district on late Tuesday night.
According to the locals, the deceased and injured persons travelling in the vehicle were returning home from Guwahati.
The injured persons were rushed to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital.
