Three hurt in Meghalaya accident

Three persons, including an infant, sustained minor injuries, after a truck went off the National Highway 6 and rammed into a house located along the highway at 18 Mile in Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya on January 30, according to reports received.

The incident occurred when the truck was proceeding from Shillong towards Guwahati.

Apparently, the truck was overspeeding and on reaching at 18th Mile, the driver lost control of the vehicle, the reports added.

In the incident the driver, the handyman and one child identified as David Suting (2), son of Suklang Suting, received minor injuries. They were shifted to Nongpoh Civil Hospital by NHAI ambulance for medical treatment.
