3 patients fall to COVID-19 in Meghalaya

Meghalaya on February 21 reported three COVID-19 related deaths, taking the number of fatalities to 1,571 even as 11 have tested positive for the viral infection and the total active cases now stand at 343, an official report said.

The fresh cases include five from East Khasi Hills, three from East Jaintia Hills, two from Ri Bhoi and one in East Garo Hills district.

A total of 37 persons have recovered from the viral infection.

So far, the state has detected a total of 93,304 COVID-19 cases out of which 343 are active cases, 91,390 recovered and 1,571 deaths.

East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 145 followed by 54 in West Garo Hills and 26 in Ri Bhoi.
