Troops of Assam Rifles recovered a huge quantity of contraband drugs worth Rs 2.48 crore in Manipur’s Senapati district.

Acting on a specific input indicating likelihood of a drug consignment in Rikhumai Taphou, Maram Battalion of Headquarter 22 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), had launched operation in Senapati district of Manipur on February 9.

The security forces recovered 512 grams of Brown Sugar.

Officials said that the recovered items are worth around Rs 2.48 crore.
