53rd CISF Raising Day celebrations at LGBI Airport

The 53rd CISF Raising Day was celebrated at CISF Unit Line of LGBI Airport located at Kahikuchi Camp in Guwahati on March 5.

On this auspicious day, a march past was carried out by unit personnel. Utpal Baruah, chief airport operator at Guwahati airport was the chief guest of that occasion.

Chief airport security officer of LGBI Airport Lal Mohan Thakur welcomed the chief guest and thanked the CISF personnel for their efforts and hard work. He informed that CISF is being deployed since 2000 and working hard to secure the Guwahati airport.

He also motivated the force members to keep up the name of CISF and “give service with smile”. After that a tree plantation programme was organised.

CISF observed the raising day as CISF week and various programmes are being organised like women health check-up camp, marathon, security sensitisation drive among villagers etc.

Thakur also briefed the unit personnel and stakeholders and made them aware them about the challenges.
