Assam MP Abdul Khaleque has demanded that all the sattras, namghars and others should be included in Krishna circuit of tourism.

Khaleque who represents Barpeta constituency in Lok Sabha raised the issue saying that if needed a separate circuit should be constituted or all these sattras and naamghars should be included in Krishna circuit of tourism.

“Raised demand in Parliament to include Satras, Namghars, Garakhiya Gosair Mandir of Sorbhog, Barpeta Kirtan Ghar, Bordowa, Kundil etc in Krishna circuit of tourism,” tweeted Abdul Khaleque.

Krishna circuit of tourism is the union ministry of tourism’s project for the development of Krishna and the heritage circuit of Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme.

“There are many sattras in Assam and all should be included. There is Krishna temple in Barpeta and also the Doul Govinda temple in Guwahati. All these including the old Krishna temples should be included in the Krishna circuit,” the MP further said in Lok Sabha.
