Logistics services in the Northeast region are yet to optimize themselves and achieve full potential as the delivery time across most part of the region is comparatively higher than other areas in the country.

With an aim to better the turnaround time and provide quality last mile service, Bengaluru-based startup LoadShare Networks is investing additional resources in the Northeast region in the coming months.

Speaking at the North East LSN Partners Meet 2022 in Guwahati on May 20, LoadShare Networks co-founder Rakib Ahmed, who hails from Assam’s Tezpur, said that within the next six months, his company is doubling their delivery partners in the region.

“We see that a customer from a smaller town needs to wait for 6-7 days to get their shipments delivered. We want to provide Same Day Delivery services in major cities of Northeast region like Guwahati, Silchar, Jorhat and Dibrugarh; besides providing Next Day Delivery at places like Sivasagar, Tinsukia etc. This will further augment and strengthen our last mile delivery,” said Rakib Ahmed.

Ahmed added that in order to achieve this, LoadShare will increase their delivery fleet from the current 2,500 in the region to 6,000, in the next six months.

“We have been able to develop and professionalize 100s of truck owners and partners and generate 1000s of employment in the remotest part of this region. We want to expand further into all areas of Northeast and grow 10 times over the next one year,” he added.

LoadShare enables small and medium enterprises (SME) in logistics with technology, operations know-how and a pan-India network. “Now is perhaps the most exciting time to be in supply chain ops in India. From quick commerce to enterprise supply chains, the logistics industry is undergoing a massive transformation. We want to go deep in Northeast India as we foresee massive demand flowing to the region and there is a paradigm shift towards setting up regional distribution network in the region,” said Raghuram Talluri, co-founder & CEO at LoadShare.

Founded by Raghu Talluri, Rakib Ahmed and Pramod Nair in 2017, LoadShare is headquartered in Bangalore and now covers more than 3800 pin codes across East India. It has 800+ branches and serves 32+ states & UTs delivering 2,50,000+ orders every day.
