The Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati has started issuing visitor tickets to allow visitors inside a designated area.
The ‘meet and greet’ area will now be accessible for anyone who purchases a visitor ticket.
“Observing the increasing number of visitors, Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport administration, in Guwahati has started a service for all common visitors for welcoming their near and dear ones in arrival area,” a statement from the Guwahati airport said.
The Adani group-managed airport also created a ‘meet and greet’ area in the arrival hall with 123 seats which are now made available for the visitors.
“Visitors can easily purchase a ticket to get enter into the ‘meet and greet’ area. Tickets are available at the ticketing counter adjacent to TM office window. The tickets are available till last flight arrival. Visitors can also access and buy coffee from the food and beverage outlet situated in the area,” the communication from the airport said.
A customer service executive is also specially appointed for the ticket counter. The ticket is valid for three hours only, the statement added.
