Purabi Dairy branded vehicles on World Milk Day

Purabi Dairy observed World Milk Day by flagging off two branded vehicles which went throughout Guwahati to generate awareness about the benefits of milk and milk products.

The Purabi Dairy-branded vehicles were flagged off by managing director, West Assam Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union Limited (WAMUL), Satya Brata Bose from the dairy plant at Panjabari in Guwahati on June 1.

Adhering to the World Milk Day 2022 theme of sustainability in the dairy industry, as well as nutritional, environmental, and socioeconomic empowerment, through this initiative, Purabi Dairy distributed pamphlets to create awareness and citizens were offered cool milk as well.

The initiative covered multiple locations in Guwahati including Sixmile, Ganeshguri, Beltola, Kahilipara, Bhangagarh, Paltan Bazar, Pan Bazar, Silpukhuri, Chandmari, Uzanbazar, Maligaon, Adabari, Jalukbari etc.

Speaking on the initiative, Satya Brata Bose said: “Dairy sector in Assam has immense potential. On this World Milk Day, I urge the new generation to involve themselves in various dairy related activities, which will help in the economic development of themselves, their village and the state. Everyone should feel proud to be part of this socio-economic revolution and #enjoydairying.”

Being the largest dairy cooperative in the region, Purabi Dairy has grown from strength to strength in ensuring a round the year remunerative market to its associated dairy farmers besides providing quality-based value-added products to its esteemed consumers. It is helping in providing livelihood to more than 29,000 dairy farmers in the state. The milk cooperative has also initiated a series of workshops to help train the milk farmers in various allied activities like beekeeping, honey harvesting etc to help augment their income.
