Two YouTubers who were shooting prank videos with a fake pistol were thrashed by the public and handed over to police at Dhakuakhana in Assam’s Lakhimpur district on July 8.

The two brothers Priyam and Manjit Doley as per local media reports were shooting videos on the road with a fake pistol.

They stopped one biker who was not wearing a helmet and asked for his documents by showing the pistol. The terrified man shouted for help assuming the YouTubers as dacoits.

The public gathered on the spot and handed over the two youths to the police. A section of the public also thrashed for their ‘misdeed’.

“We are sorry. We didn’t mean to harm anyone. We were trying to shoot prank videos to upload on YouTube. We have seen some YouTubers doing this kind of video in other places in India and also abroad. So, we just tried to imitate them,” said one of the youths as they were dragged to the police station.
