All the 75 machine boats were designed with national flags and balloons, which created a spectacular view and jaw-dropping atmosphere on the river Brahmaputra in Dhubri on the starting day of the Har Ghar Tiranga programme.
Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is a noble initiative of the union ministry of culture to celebrate the 75 years of India’s independence by hoisting more than 20 crore national flags all across the country from August 13 to 15.
The Assam government is also joining hands in the initiative. The state government has appealed to the people to join hands in hoisting or displaying more than 80 lakh national flags in homes, offices and commercial establishments from August 13 to 15.
The government of Assam has already adopted measures to make national flags available at Rs 18 at fair price shops all across the state.
