Actor Kamal R Khan, also known as KRK, was arrested by Mumbai Police on August 30 morning.
According to the police, KRK was arrested for his controversial social media post two years ago in 2020.
As per the information, Kamal R Khan on August 30 landed at the Mumbai Airport after which he was apprehended.
Khan will be presented in Mumbai‘s Borivali court later in the day, officials said.
Infamous for his controversial tweets, Kamal R Khan had worked in films like ‘Deshdrohi’ and ‘Ek Villain’. He was also a contestant in ‘Bigg Boss 3’.
An FIR was earlier, in 2020, registered against KRK for allegedly derogatory remarks against actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan. An official was quoted by news agency PTI as saying: “We have registered an FIR against Kamaal R Khan for making derogatory remarks about both the deceased actors under section 294 (punishment for obscene acts or words in public) and other provisions of the IPC.”
