KL Rahul

India’s vice-captain KL Rahul on August 26 hinted at seeking revenge against Pakistan in the T20I Asia Cup super clash on August 28.

“We are looking forward to going all out there and playing our best game … the match starts from zero … There might be a history of how many times the teams played against each other and won, but it does not matter as the game only starts from zero. It is great to see the new approach of the Indian team, started after the last world cup,” KL Rahul told reporters in a press conference.

India will lock horns against arch-rivals Pakistan on August 28 in their opening game of the Asia Cup.

“These games have always been high intensity. It is a great opportunity for us to challenge ourselves,” Rahul stated.

India were defeated by Pakistan in the T20I World Cup in their 13th faceoff in a big tournament on October 24 last year. Shaeen Shah Afridi had played a stellar role in Pakistan’s victory.

On Virat Kohli, KL Rahul said the team want him to get back to form and the team does not accord much importance to comments.

“A world class player like Virat will not be affected by what people are saying. He has had a little break and he is working on his game,” the right-hand batter stated.

Virat’s fans will hope that the star batsman returns to form, especially after taking a break. He had missed the tour of West Indies, wherein he got an opportunity to focus on his game.

They would also hope Virat Kohli to crunch his 71st international ton to shut the mouths of critics.
