Ad filmmaker Pervez Ahmed’s latest Assamese web series ‘L’ depicts the story of a ‘by chance’ driving school trainer who leave everything to chase his dream, finds love and things change altogether.
Streaming on Assamese OTT platform Reeldrama, ‘L’ is about longing, love, lust, lost, loneliness, life, and learning about life narrated through a driving school.
Speaking at the Gauhati Press Club on August 17, director Pervez Ahmed said: “Today roads are getting overcrowded with traffic. ‘L’ depicts the emotional ride of 21 days to get a driving license. Along the way the protagonist discovers the true meaning of love and life.”
Pervez Ahmed is an accomplished director for TV commercials for markets like India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and the Middle East. His ad film for Philips was nominated at the Bangkok Ad-fest.
Streaming as an 8-episode series on the Reeldrama app and website, ‘L’ tells the story of Jitu who is from a small village and ends up in a big city dream somewhere abroad. Situations made him a driving school teacher for Rehana, Jacky, Satyavrat, Neha and Birju – all having their own reasons to learn driving.
During the driving classes, Jitu meets love of his life Reema. Complications arise when Jitu realises that Reema encounters mood swings. The web series explores how the driving training enables trainer Jitu to discover the true meaning of love and life.
