The Assam Real Estate Appellate Tribunal (REAT) started functioning from its new address at 3rd Floor, Aditya Tower, Rukmini Gaon, GS Road in Guwahati from September 2.
Since its inception in February 2021, the tribunal had been functioning temporarily from the office complex of the directorate of country & town planning at Dispur.
“The new office of the Assam REAT is equipped with all facilities, required for its smooth functioning including a court room,” a statement said on September 2.
The tribunal has been constituted under the provisions of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016. The tribunal hears appeals against the decisions of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Assam or the adjudicating officer.
REAT has Justice (retd.) Manojit Bhuyan as chairperson and Onkar Kedia as member (administrative).
