Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav moved an application in connection with fodder scam before the special court on September 21, seeking permission to visit Singapore for treatment.

The counsel of Lalu Prasad Yadav has moved the application before the special judge Mahesh Kumar, hearing the cases related to fodder scam involving his client. In the application, it has been mentioned that Lalu Prasad Yadav has to visit Singapore for treatment for which permission of the court was essential.

In the application, it has been further mentioned that he had got the permission from the court in connection with five pending cases of fodder scam in Ranchi. The court in Ranchi had also given him his passport.

The special court had fixed September 22 for getting reply from CBI.

It may be recalled that Lalu Prasad Yadav is accused in several cases of the fodder scam of the erstwhile Bihar. Most of the cases were pending in special court at Ranchi whereas only one case was pending before the special court in Patna.
