The special investigation cell of Arunachal Pradesh Police arrested two more state government officials in connection with the APPSCCE-2017 paper leakage case, taking the total number of arrests in the case to 39, a senior police officer said on January 3.

The arrestees have been identified as Loter Gadi (31), statistical investigator, C/O ADES, Anini, Dibang Valley district, and Lotu Gadi (38), junior engineer, Hydropower department, Anini sub-division.

Their arrests were made on January 2 and 3, SIC (vigilance) SP Anant Mittal said.

The cases pertaining to Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) paper leak cases are being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation and the SIC, concurrently.

The AE (civil) main examination 2021 question paper leak is being investigated by the premier investigating agency, while the SIC is probing the alleged paper leakage in APPSCCE-2017 and all other exams conducted by the APPSC from 2014 onwards, based on several FIRs filed by aggrieved aspirants.
