As part of the ongoing investigation into the APPSC paper leak cases, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted simultaneous searches at nine different places in Arunachal Pradesh and recovered handwritten questions of APTET (Arunachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) 2016, official sources said on January 19.

“On January 18, simultaneous searches have been conducted at nine different places of Arunachal Pradesh and several incriminating documents/articles including handwritten questions in APTET 2016 etc. seized,” the probe agency said in a press statement.

The CBI has taken over the investigation into the APPSC paper leak cases from the state police’s special investigation cell (SIC) earlier this month. All examinations conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission from 2014 onwards are being probed.

The CBI, on being entrusted with the SIC (vigilance) case of dated October 19, 2022, has on January 6 registered a case against Minoty Borang Saroh and others, the statement said.

So far, 46 people including 39 government officials have been arrested in connection with the alleged anomalies in various recruitment examinations conducted by the APPSC since the year 2014.
