Two people lost their lives when a truck and two dumpers collided near Boko in Kamrup district of Assam, in the wee hours of January 24.

According to reports, the three vehicles were involved in a major accident and caught fire. Reports said that two persons died after the vehicles caught fire following the collision.

The deceased have been identified as driver Bhadreswar Patgiri and handyman Krishna Das. Another driver was grievously injured following the incident.

Following the accident, a nearby shop also reportedly caught fire. However, after receiving the information, fire fighters rushed to the scene and controlled the fire.

The National Highway (NH-17) was blocked because of the accident. The local administration, police and general people were working to clear the road traffic, till the filing of this report.
