BSF ADG Sonali Mishra visits the India-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya

Kolkata-based Border Security Force (BSF) additional director general (Eastern Command), Sonali Mishra visited BSF Frontier Meghalaya for reviewing the current security scenario and operational preparedness on the India-Bangladesh International border, a BSF official said on March 15.

“The ADG also interacted with brigadier general Mohammad Sahidul Islam, regional commander Sarail, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and other BGB officials at border to discuss various operational aspects and challenges on Meghalaya-Bangladesh Border,” the BSF statement said.

Mishra also took stock of the security scenario and reviewed the border domination and operational preparedness to make the India-Bangladesh international border peaceful and crime-free.

She also applauded the efforts and dedication of BSF personnel in safeguarding the borders and efforts being made to control border crimes.

The ADG also visited War Memorial Killapara situated in West Garo Hills and paid homage to BSF martyrs.
