Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu has said that providing quality healthcare services to the people of the state has always been a ‘priority’ of his government.
“Making quality healthcare available to the people of Arunachal Pradesh has always been a priority of our government,” Khandu said.
He said this while dedicating the Hospital Block II with state-of-the-art emergency and trauma centre and three Tesla MRI machines, at Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), Naharlagun, on May 8.
The emergency and trauma center is equipped with modular OT with all necessary diagnostic support including CT scan machines and Cath lab for advanced cardiac treatment, he said.
CM Pema Khandu also flagged off 104 medical utility vehicle under the Chief Minister Health Emergency Life Protection Services (CMHELPS), in presence of state’s health and family welfare minister Alo Libang, health services director Dr M Lego, TRIHMS director Dr Moji Jini and other senior officers.
The chief minister said, each district is provided with one oxygen express-vaccine carrier van, mobile medical van and a patient transport vehicle to help health services reach out to the last mile.
Twenty-two patient transport vehicles fitted with all the emergency drugs, equipment and consumables have been recommended for basic life support ambulances, and each vehicle will be manned by a first responder driver and a trained emergency medical technician. These 22 patient transport vehicles will be part of the Dial 108 ERAS fleet, he said.
