Guwahati’s iconic food joint – serving student and pocket-friendly momo since long – is celebrating 25 years of its association with the food lovers of the city.

Since beginning as a humble outlet satisfying the taste buds of the city, Momo Ghar, situated at Ambari is celebrating 25 years of its existence at Lakhidhar Bora Field, Opposite Dighalipukhuri from March 16-18.

Marking the occasion, Momo Ghar has lined up various momo eating competitions, art competition along with live band performances. Besides, food lovers will be able to taste a variety of momo created by the iconic Momo Ghar itself.

“Momo Ghar has been an integral part of my student life. As time moves on, we have seen many momo exclusive outlets in the city, but the nostalgia associated with Momo Ghar still makes be step into this place…” said Pranjal Saikia, who describes himself as a foodie.

Founded by Tapan Kumar Barua in 1991, Momo Ghar, which was originally known as ‘Pirish’, shifted to its current location in 1994.
