UK records highest daily COVID-related death toll since March

Three people, including one ambulance driver from Mumbai, were found COVID-19 positive in Jorhat, Assam on May 9.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on May 9 informed that the three travelled from Mumbai to Jorhat in an ambulance. While the driver of the ambulance returned to Mumbai, two others were at the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital since their arrival in Jorhat.

“3 people, including an ambulance driver from Mumbai who drove the 2, test #COVID19 positive in Jorhat. Driver sent back to Mumbai. Two are at JMCH since their arrival in Jorhat,” Sarma tweeted.

With this, the number of COVID-19 cases in Assam went up to 62 with 27 of them active in the state. The number of discharged patients stands at 34.
