39 new COVID-19 cases put Assam tally at 466

The number of COVID-19 cases in Assam continues to rise as 39 new cases were reported from the state in the afternoon on May 25.

Earlier in the morning, 35 cases were reported from various parts of the state.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed about the new cases through social media posts.

“39 new cases of #COVID19 positive confirmed. All swabs were taken before they were put in quarantine,” he tweeted.

Among the new cases, 35 were detected from Golaghat while 3 were detected from Dhemaji and a case was reported from Nagaon.

With these, the number of positive cases in the state went up to 466 with 402 of them active at present.
