A 45-year-old woman in Tripura, having history of travelling to Assam during the Coronavirus pandemic, was tested COVID-19 positive on April 6 night.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb confirmed the test result through his Twitter handle and urged the people not to be panic, as government is well prepared to tackle the situation.

According to reports, the lady travelled to Agartala through train from Guwahati on March 18 and reached her hometown Udaipur. Later on, she had developed COVID-19 symptoms about a week ago and consulted doctors locally.

Two days back, she was referred to Agartala Government Medical College and has been undergoing treatment in medicine ward, officials stated.
