5 kg of brown sugar worth Rs 10 crore seized in Nagaland, three held

Narcotics Cell personnel in Nagaland had arrested three persons and seized 5 kg of brown sugar worth Rs 10 crore in Khuzama area of Kohima district.

According to the reports, based on secret information, Narcotics Cell PS personnel on October 26 evening manning the Narcotics Check Point at Khuzama and detected and seized approximately 5 kg of brown sugar worth approximately Rs 10 crore in international market from the possession of three persons who were traveling in a car.

The Narcotics Cell arrested three persons and they were identified as Md. Mujafer Hussain, Md. Abdul Noor, and Robin Khan. The trio belong to of Thoubal district of neighbouring Manipur.

A car was also seized.

In this connection, a case was registered under the NDPS Act and further investigation was in progress.
