The Board of Secondary Education, Assam commonly known as SEBA, declared the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination results on May 25.

Overall, 56.04 per cent candidates passed the examination with 60,987 candidates securing first division marks.  As many as 337,570 appeared in the class X exams wherein 189,191 candidates passed.

The pass percentage is slightly better than previous year’s results when only 47.94 per cent candidates could clear the HSLC exams.

Dhemaji district, with pass percentage of 79.76 per cent, had the best performance while Udalguri with 36.97 pass percentage and Goalpara with 38.73 were among the worst performers.

A total of 17,540 candidates secured letter marks, i.e. more than 80 and above, in Assamese with 8 candidates scoring full 100 marks. A total of 132,668 letter marks were awarded to the candidates across 40 subjects.

The results are available on various websites and through SMS and mobile app.

Raktim Bhuyan from Moonlit High School in Sonitpur district topped the SEBA HSLC exam with 593 marks.
