Gone are the days of tired eyes, frown lines and selfless submission. This Mother’s day, you may gift your mother a youthful look by reversing her age.

The concept of Mother’s Day has evolved over the years to become a part of our urban culture and so has the idea of gifting. Today, gifting is more about bringing value to the lives of the people you love. Non-invasive ‘facial aesthetic procedures’ is one such global gifting trend.

“Till a few years ago, women who came to the aesthetic clinics were either in show-business or from the elite class. However, today a lot of people have opened up to the idea of cosmetic treatments. This is largely driven by the economically independent women who choose to look their best at all times,” said Guwahati-based aesthetic surgeon Dr Reema Das.

“During occasions like mother’s day, the new-age mothers not only pamper themselves but also bring in their mothers to treat them with aesthetic procedures. One of the most popular procedures preferred are tear trough rejuvenation using dermal fillers, this simple procedure not only takes care of the under-eye hollows but also gives the clients a fresh look,” Dr Reema Das added.

The trend has largely been driven by children wanting to gift facial procedures to reverse the impact of ageing, helping their mothers appear younger and confident. Most popular procedures among this section are facial rejuvenation using dermal fillers to address sunken eyes and under eye hollows, hence, reversing tired and fatigued eyes into sparkling and bright eyes.

Other concerns like loss of facial volume, such as flat and hollow cheeks, can also be addressed with the help of painless, hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers. When administered under the skin, they provide volume to the affected area, filling up the hollows and depressions. Fillers also help smoothen fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes to provide a more youthful appearance.
