Days after testing negative for Novel Coronavirus, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been admitted to AIIMS after he complained of fatigue and body aches, the hospital said on August 18.

The minister has been complaining of fatigue and body aches for last three-four days. He has tested negative for COVID-19, AIIMS said in a statement.

He has been admitted to AIIMS for post COVID care. He is comfortable and is continuing his work from hospital, it added.

Shah was discharged from Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon on August 14 after testing negative for the virus.

He was admitted to the old private ward of AIIMS at around 2 am on August 18. He is being treated under the guidance of AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria.

The 55-year-old minister had tested positive for the virus on August 2.
