Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a new complex of the National Security Guard (NSG) in Kolkata on March 1.

Speaking on the occasion, Shah said, “It is the priority of the Modi government to do as much as possible for the Indian soldiers. We will do everything possible to take care of the family of the soldiers – their welfare, health, education and more.”

The Union Home Minister said, “Today, India has a pro-active security arrangement, which the country wanted since long.”

“We will improve the housing satisfaction ratio soon. We are trying to put in place a framework that will allow every soldier to live with his/her family for at least 100 days each year,” Shah said.

The Union minister added that “prior to the surgical strikes that were done under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the world only knew of US and Israel as countries who used to pay back.”

“These countries were known to be able to enter other countries, treat whoever had killed their soldiers and possessed the ability. After these two, India has been added to the list by Modi,” Shah said.

The new complex of NSG is situated in New Town in Kolkata. It will have an infrastructure for NSG commandos and officers for training, shooting range and residential facilities.
