Amlan Borgohain wins gold in 200m, silver for Hima Das

Both Hima Das and Amlan Borgohain of Assam have continued their good run in the 61st national inter state athletics championships which concluded in Chennai on June 14.

Amlan Borgohain won his second gold in the championship on June 14 in men’s 200m. Amlan completed his run in 21.00 seconds.

In the 100m, he had won gold clocking 10:47 seconds on June 11.

Amlan holds the national record in 200m with timing of 20.52 seconds which he created in April this year.

On the other hand, Hima won a silver medal in women’s 200m with timing of 23.29 seconds. Dhana Lakshmi came first clocking 23.27 seconds.

Earlier, Hima won the gold medal in the women’s 100m with timing of 11:43 seconds and another gold in 4×100 relay in the championship.
