The lone COVID-19 positive patient of Arunachal Pradesh was discharged from the hospital on April 17, after testing negative for second time.

The 31-year-old person tested positive for COVID-19 on April 2, and was kept at the isolation ward of the Zonal General Hospital, Tezu in Lohit district.

“The lone positive case became negative in the third and fourth sample. Now, he is virus free and discharged,” Directorate of Health Services said in a bulletin on April 17.

Informing the same, Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a social media post wrote, “The lone positive person of Arunachal having been now labelled virus free has been discharged and sent to institutional quarantine for next 14 days”.

As per the bulletin, a total of 363 samples have been collected so far for suspected COVID-19 for laboratory testing, out of which 336 tested negative and results of 25 are yet to come.
